Fentanyl Deaths: Ohio was #1 in US Total Deaths (2015-2021)

According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, an astonishing 80% of fentanyl in the US is coming across the southern border. In 2021, over 11,000 pounds of fentanyl flowed into the US, enough to kill EVERY American 7 times over. It is 50 times more powerful than heroin and is now the number one killer of Americans 18-45 years old.

• Ohio and Total Fentanyl Deaths: Between 2015-2021, Ohio saw a 248% jump in fentanyl deaths and led the nation with nearly 19,000 casualties

• Rising Teen Deaths: In the last two years, teen deaths due to fentanyl tripled, rising five-fold for black teens
